Myriam works in the field of cults, acting as a lecturer, writer and consultant.
She offers information and advice to victims of destructive cults and deviant practices. She spent more than 10 years in a cult and developed a deep understanding of how cults use mind control and coercive techniques to recruit, seduce and indoctrinate their followers.
Myriam has also written a book about her experiences, in which she encourages former cult members to recover a useful and happy life even after such traumatic events.
She networks with other organisations working in the same field and attends international conferences addressing the topics of mind control, abuse, and recovery from cultic groups.
